Do I need an account?
No. Guest mode supports local bookmark management. A member account is needed for member features, and Drive sync requires a separate authorization. You do not need to authorize Drive just to try the extension.
Does boomation replace my browser bookmarks?
Imported links are copied into boomation. Import is not ongoing two-way synchronization with the browser's bookmark tree. boomation's optional sync connects its own collection to your Drive appDataFolder.
Why can I not see or add a bookmark?
Check the selected workspace and page, search text, favorite/category/tag filters and Trash. If you can see data but cannot edit, check the plan: Free edits the first workspace and has a 50-active-bookmark limit there.
Are saved pages available offline?
Local bookmark details are stored in the browser, but saving a URL does not download or archive the destination page. Visiting the site may still require internet access and that site's own sign-in.
Is sync a backup?
Not by itself. Sync updates the working collection across devices, including changes. Automatic backups create separate historical versions when enabled with Pro and Drive; exports give you an independent file. Trash is excluded from automatic backups.
Why are the screenshots in English?
The guides share one English UI screenshot set so the images stay consistent across languages. Translated instructions retain English control names for comparison. Change the actual extension language in General settings.
